Serious question, old school pressure vs. skin safety today
Years ago, some shops would book anyone for microdermabrasion without a patch test. I had a client with thin skin begging for it last month, knowing it could lead to damage. I said no and lost the booking, but I sleep better at night. It's a gray area when money is on the line.

Good on you for holding the line. It's never just a gray area when someone's health is on the table. Taking shortcuts to make a quick buck always comes back to hurt you, both in your peace of mind and your professional name. That client might be mad now, but causing real harm would have ended things for good. Some jobs you are better off losing.

Back in 2022, a medical supply company faced huge fines after skipping quality tests. That case shows how shortcuts really do come back to hurt you. When someone's health is involved, there is no middle ground to play with. Choosing profit over safety ruins your good name and your own peace. Losing a difficult client is always better than losing your way. I would take a clean conscience over quick money any day.

Totally agree with @anthony127. Seeing that old school "pressure" as just being careless with people's skin. Your license and their face are not worth one booking. That client will find someone else to say yes, and they'll be the one dealing with the fallout.
