Hot take: I still run MC cable in residential attics, even in hot climates like Phoenix.
Everyone says to only use NM-B in attics now, but I had a rewire job last month where the existing MC was fine after 15 years. I picked MC again because the metal sheath is just tougher for me to pull through insulation. Has anyone else stuck with MC for attic runs and had it work out okay?

Honestly that's wild they say not to use it. My buddy in Texas still runs MC in attics too, says the rodents out there won't chew through it like they do with Romex. He's had zero callbacks in like ten years.
