Got shown a pre-inspection report from 3 different agents and none of them agreed on the foundation crack

I was at an open house in Londonderry last Saturday and watched two home buyers get opposite advice from their realtors about a vertical hairline crack in the basement wall, so which type of specialist do you actually trust for foundation issues before making an offer?

Three out of four foundation companies I called gave me a different diagnosis for the same crack in my uncle's place last spring. It's the same pattern you see everywhere now, everyone has an opinion but nobody wants to put their license on the line with a hard yes or no. Find a structural engineer who inspects foundations only, those are the people who actually have to back up their words with stamped drawings.
