Noticed my crew talking about kid's sports games a lot more
It's like we're all trying to balance the job with family time. Even on the water, family comes up in chat.

Seriously, it's just chat about kids' soccer games. People always find stuff to talk about when they're stuck together, like on a boat. I doubt it means we're all having some big life crisis. It's probably just what happens when you get older and have families.

Nah, it's way more than that. When every single conversation turns to kids and schedules, that's a choice. People use it to avoid talking about anything real, like their own dreams or what's actually bothering them. It's a safe topic because it's exhausting to be vulnerable. Getting older doesn't mean your whole personality gets replaced by being a chauffeur. We're just hiding behind it.
