My coworking desk in Lisbon lost power for 3 days, here's how I survived

I was in Lisbon last November, mid-call with a client in New York, when the whole building went dark and my laptop died at 12% battery. I ended up camping at a pastelaria two blocks over, nursing one espresso for 4 hours while tethering off my phone, and I actually got more done there than I had all week. Has anyone else had a regular spot fail on them and found a weird backup that worked better?

Wait till you find out the pastelaria wifi actually survives the whole city grid going down cuz they run on a backup generator for the fridges lol.
