My coworking desk in Chiang Mai fell apart, now I book places differently
Last month I rented a hot desk at a popular coworking spot near Nimman for $150 a month. The chair leg snapped on day 12 and they just shrugged, saying it was 'normal wear and tear.' I realized I'd been picking places for wifi speed and price, not for how they treat the furniture or people. Now I ask for a video tour of the actual desk area before booking, has anyone else had a landlord or host refuse that?

Yeah my buddy booked a place in Bali sight unseen and the 'ergonomic chairs' in the photos turned out to be broken stools with duct tape. He found out the hard way when his laptop slid off mid-call, so now he always demands a live video walkthrough before handing over any cash.
