I finally get why people rave about coworking spaces in Chiang Mai

I was totally against paying $150 a month for a desk when my Airbnb had a perfectly good table. But after 3 weeks of terrible wifi in my room and zero motivation, I tried Punspace for a day. The power never blinked once, and I met two devs who pointed me to a client that landed me a $2k contract. Has anyone else found that paying for a space actually pays for itself?

Hey I'm the LAST person who should talk about this because I once built a whole standing desk setup out of scrap wood and two cinder blocks in an Airbnb, felt like a genius, and then spent four hours staring at a wall instead of working. The table is never the problem, it's the vibe, or lack of one. Some people can grind at home and some of us need to hear other people typing to remember we have a job to do. Honestly if a $150 desk gets you a $2k client you already won that bet like ten times over. My question is whether the wifi at your spot was bad enough that even a bad connection at a cafe beats it, because that's usually my tipping point.

Question about the wifi but honestly the table kinda is the problem sometimes, I can't type for eight hours on a picnic bench without my back locking up no matter how good the vibe is. Maybe it's just me but the setup matters more than people admit, it's just that the $150 version usually does the job fine.
