Hotel wifi vs coworking day passes, the price gap floored me
Spent last month in Chiang Mai and kept burning 400 baht a day on coworking spots while my hotel charged 150 baht for 24 hours of supposedly fast wifi. Turns out the hotel's connection was actually faster after 9pm once everyone left. I tested both with Speedtest over 3 days, hotel averaged 85 Mbps, coworking got 60. Anyone else find that hotel wifi improved once you asked the front desk to reset the router?
Right, that 9pm speed boost is the real hack. Once the day drinkers and pool people finally log off, the hotel network gets all the bandwidth to itself. Front desk resets usually do the trick too, they just don't like doing it unless you ask nicely.
