That time at a local gallery opening made me rethink my entire color grading process
I was standing in front of a print at the downtown art walk last month and realized my screen calibration was way off compared to the actual paper output, now I check my monitor every two weeks has anyone else had that wake up call at a physical show?

Blew a whole month of prints once because of that exact rude awakening.

Getting a hardware calibrator changed everything for me. The Datacolor Spyder was worth every penny and now my prints actually match what I see on screen. Realized I was editing way too warm for like six months before that gallery wake up call. Now I run calibration every two weeks without fail and even check it before big projects. Honestly just being consistent with the calibration schedule solved most of my problems. The difference between a calibrated and uncalibrated monitor is wild once you actually see it side by side.
