Lost a weekend to a counterfeit oil pressure sensor off eBay
Grabbed a cheap sensor for my 7.3 because the dealer wanted $140, paid $25 shipped. It read 80 psi at idle and lit the dummy light on the highway, chased that phantom for 2 days before a buddy in Columbus told me to test the resistance. Has anyone else had luck with the cheaper sensors or do you all stick with OEM for this one?

Have you checked the resistance on the old OEM sensor before you tossed it? I saved mine and tested it side by side with a fake, the real one sat around 300 ohms at idle but the cheap one was all over the place depending on temperature. That little test saved my sanity later when I bought another cheap one for a beater, it worked fine for a year but I only trust it on a truck that won't leave me stranded.
