Hit 10,000 hours on my old 7.3 work truck, never thought it would make it

The odometer clicked over to 10,000 hours last Tuesday on my 2002 F-350. I've had this thing since 2011 and it's been a shop truck, tow rig, and daily beater all in one. Stock motor, never opened it up, just oil changes every 250 hours and a couple of injectors around 7,500. I was standing there with a coffee watching the numbers flip and honestly got a little choked up. That engine owes me nothing. How many hours are you guys seeing on your work trucks before something major gives out? I'm wondering if I'm on borrowed time or if this is normal.

My 7.3 hit 12,400 before I sold it, and it was still running strong. I ran Rotella 15w-40 and changed it every 200 hours like clockwork, plus I put a coolant filter on around 8,000 hours, which I think saved me from the cavitation issues those engines get. The only big thing I did was the transmission at 10,800, but that was a heavy tow rig and I beat on it pretty hard. You're not on borrowed time yet, those motors are good for way more. The injectors and the fuel bowl heater are the things I'd keep an eye on next, and if you haven't done the cam position sensor lately, carry a spare, they die without warning.
