The Cherry Creek parking garage exit gate ate my ticket and $18

Went to pick up a package near Cherry Creek last Tuesday and the exit gate at the St. Paul Street garage wouldn't take my ticket. Flashed red three times then sucked it inside. Attendant took 15 minutes to come out and still charged me the full $18 because their system said I entered at 7 AM but I got there at 10. Has anyone else had that garage's machines just eat their ticket and get zero help from the remote line?
