Vent: Paid $80 for a pun generator app, the jokes write themselves worse than mine

I figured a pun generator would give me fresh material for the showdown, but it just spits out the same corny lines I already heard at recess duty. Honestly, my students came up with better ones during a 5 minute bathroom break, has anyone else wasted cash on joke tech that flopped?
