Why I stopped trusting password managers after losing 2 weeks of audit logs

I used to swear by my password manager, but last month I found out the hard way that autofill can leak your credentials through browser extensions. During a routine check of my company's security logs, I saw 14 entries from a compromised extension that grabbed every password I typed. The manager did its job storing them, but the extension was the backdoor. I switched to manual copy-paste with a hardware key, and it already feels safer, even if it's slower. Has anyone else had a browser add-on wreck their whole password setup?
