Pro tip: I used to think a strong password was enough, but my own router logs proved me wrong
For years, I just made sure my Wi-Fi password was long and complex. Then last month, I finally checked the device list on my home router and saw 14 devices connected. I only own 8. The difference came from enabling the 'guest network' feature for visitors, which I never turned off. That open guest network was the cause. Has anyone else found a sneaky setting like this that opened up their home network?

Okay but is an open guest network really that big of a deal? It's just for visitors, and most people's friends aren't hackers. The real risk is probably pretty low unless you live in a super dense apartment building.
