Finally booked my first solo cruise after months of overthinking the cabin pick
I've been going back and forth on pulling the trigger for a solo cruise for about 7 months now, and honestly the thing that held me up was not the money or the time off, it was picking a cabin. I must have read 200 forum posts and watched a dozen videos about midship vs aft, deck 6 vs deck 10, and whether a cabin above the theater gets noise at night. I actually made a spreadsheet with 14 different sailings on it and then never booked any of them. Last week I finally just called and put a deposit down on a 7 night Western Caribbean run out of Miami on a ship I'd never even looked at before, deck 9 balcony, and I felt this huge weight come off. The weird part is the price was only $40 more than the cabin I'd been staring at for weeks, I just needed to stop researching and start clicking. What finally tipped me was a guy in a Facebook group telling me the cabin is just where you sleep and the trip is what happens when you walk out the door. Anyone else get stuck in the planning loop before their first solo one?
