PSA: The "show don't tell" rule is killing more stories than it saves
After beta reading for 14 months on a critique forum, I watched 30+ writers strip every bit of voice out of their drafts chasing that rule, and honestly the before and after is like someone swapped coffee for decaf, so has anyone else seen prompts pushing it too hard lately?

Is that mostly happening with newer writers, or are you seeing experienced ones nuke their own voice too? Like, what does the before and after actually look like in a concrete example?
