I swore off writing prompts with word limits until a 6-word story thread on a Tuesday changed my mind
For two years I skipped every prompt that said "keep it under 50 words" because I thought short stuff was lazy and couldn't carry real feeling. Then last Tuesday I got stuck on a 2,000 word story I'd been dragging around for three weeks, so out of spite I tried a 6-word prompt someone posted here. I wrote ten of them in about 40 minutes and two of those tiny things said more than my whole bloated draft ever did. Now I'm 14 short prompts deep and my regular writing is tighter because of it. What's the shortest prompt you've tried where the limit actually helped instead of just making you mad?
