Vent: a 30 year guy told me my slew stops were jerky, and it clicked
I thought I was smooth on the swing until a rigger named Marcus watched me set a beam at a site over in Garland and told me, "you're riding it too hard before you even start slowing down." I was letting off the lever way too early and then tapping it, which made the load bob every time. He had me just ease off one notch at a time and start my slow down about 20 degrees before I thought I needed to. Took me maybe 3 picks to get it and the beam landed dead quiet. How do you all slow down your swing, one notch at a time or feather it?
