OSHA crane stats made me rethink my whole pre-shift check

Saw an OSHA fact sheet saying 60% of crane incidents are from rigging failures, not machine issues, and I had no idea it was that lopsided. I've been staring at the hoist and boom for 12 years while the slings were the real weak point, anyone else shift their inspection habits after seeing that?
