Lifting a 4,200 lb HVAC unit over a hospital in Dayton and the wind gusted at the worst possible second
Spent 20 minutes setting up the outriggers on soft ground near the loading dock last Thursday, and just as I got the load swinging over the roof, a gust pushed it within 18 inches of the parapet wall. Anyone else started refusing picks when sustained wind hits double digits, or am I being too cautious?

That "gusted at the worst possible second" line hits home. I had one do the same thing over a school roof and it scared me straight, so now I shut down picks once the wind is steady past 15 and I don't feel bad about it. You are not being too careful, nobody on that job wants to be the reason a unit ends up in a parking lot.
