Why does nobody talk about the right way to hold shears for a blunt cut? I watched a stylist in Denver pinch them wrong and it messed up the whole line.

Used to think it didn't matter that much. Watched a video breaking down the grip and tension, totally changed my mind on it.

Yeah that "breaking down the grip and tension" thing is key. I was the same, just held the controller how it felt natural. Then I saw a clip about how resting your fingers changes the angle you press buttons. Tried a more relaxed grip and my reaction time got way better in fighting games. It felt weird for a day but then it just clicked. Totally get why you changed your mind.

What exactly did they do wrong with the pinch? Was it their thumb placement or finger tension?
