Stumbled on a 1960s beauty school textbook and the old methods are wild

Found a 1960s beauty school textbook at a garage sale in St. Paul and it said perms used to take like 6 hours with those clunky machines, has anyone else peeked at old training manuals and felt grateful for modern tools?
