Saw the same 3D model in 2 different software demos, nobody in the room noticed

I went to a construction tech expo in Austin last Thursday. Two different vendors showed off their project management tools and it was literally the SAME warehouse model, same file path in the corner, same missing wall section. One demo called it a "field verification module" and the other called it "real time clash detection." Neither actually connected to any live data, it was just a video loop. I asked one rep about export compatibility with our Procore setup and he gave me a blank stare for like 8 seconds. Has anyone else caught these demo fakes at trade shows or is it just me?
