Paid $2,400 for estimating software last year and it paid for itself on one job
I run a small remodeling outfit out of Cincinnati and was still doing bids in a spiral notebook and Excel. Bit the bullet on a $2,400/year estimating suite last spring after losing a kitchen job because my quote was 3 weeks late. Turns out the takeoff tool alone caught a $4,100 tile overage I would have eaten on a bathroom job in Oakley. It is not magic though, the learning curve ate two weekends and I still double check every lineal foot by hand. Curious if anyone here switched tools mid-year and how long it took before you trusted the numbers.
