My crew spent 6 hours fighting a PDF that should've taken 20 minutes

We had to send a change order to a client in Austin and our field guy kept emailing photos of the signed sheet instead of uploading them to the project file. I figured I'd just drag the images into the software and call it done, but the app kept rejecting them because they were too big. After 6 hours and three different converting tools, I found out there's a simple 'compress' button right in the upload menu that I'd somehow never clicked. Has anyone else burned a whole morning on something that turned out to be one obvious setting?

My old boss used to make fun of me for digging through menus instead of just clicking the obvious button, and honestly he was right. I remember spending a whole afternoon once trying to get a map to print the right size, and it turned out there was a little checkbox right next to the print button that said "fit to page." That day I finally started reading the whole screen before touching anything, and it has saved me so much hassle since. Now I always tell my guys to look for the small stuff first, because nine times out of ten it's sitting right there in plain sight. Your story about the compress button is exactly the kind of thing that makes me laugh and cringe at the same time, because I've been there too many times to count.
