Vent: spent 3 hours trying to debunk a moon landing thing for my cousin and it just made him double down
My cousin sent me a 45 minute YouTube clip last Saturday claiming the flag waving proves the landings were faked, so I sat there for about 3 hours pulling up NASA footage, physics explainers, and the MythBusters vacuum test to write him a careful reply. He came back with 'that's what they want you to think' in 2 minutes and now he's sending me flat earth stuff too. Has anyone actually changed a family member's mind on this stuff, or do I just need to stop replying?
