Vent: I spent 6 months mapping flight paths over my town and the pattern that showed up made me mad
So last April I started logging every plane that flew over my neighborhood in Reno. I wrote down the time, direction, and which airline it was, just to see if the trails were as weird as my neighbor kept saying. After about 200 entries I noticed 14 flights all stacked on the same path within 20 minutes every Tuesday and Thursday, which none of the flight tracker sites showed. My neighbor said it was weather seeding, but when I called the airport they gave me some runaround about "scheduling software." Has anyone else actually kept a log like this and gotten a straight answer from anyone?
That would drive me up the wall too (six months of your own data and nobody will just tell you what's going on?). The fact that those flights don't show up on the tracker sites is the weirdest part to me.
