My barber in Cleveland asked me one question about the moon landing and it's been bugging me for 3 weeks
I've been going to the same guy for 4 years and we mostly talk about the Browns or his daughter's soccer team. Last month he asks me out of nowhere, if NASA really went to the moon, how come we can't see the lander with a telescope from Earth? I laughed it off but then he pulls up some backyard telescope photos on his phone and honestly I couldn't explain it. I went home and spent like 6 hours down a rabbit hole and the answer is actually that the lander is way too small, like the size of a car, and even Hubble can't resolve something that tiny from 240,000 miles away. But here's the thing that got me, he wasn't even being a jerk about it, he genuinely just wanted to know. I walked in ready to make fun of moon hoax people and walked out realizing most of them are just asking questions nobody ever bothered to answer. Has anyone else had a normal conversation about this stuff that actually made you check yourself?
