Compared two tracking apps for 3 weeks, the free one was way more accurate
I track my walks around Austin for exercise and in early March I ran both MapMyRun and a cheap $3 app side by side. The cheap one kept dropping GPS signal under the trees at Zilker Park, while the free one held steady the whole time. I mean, I almost deleted the paid one because I figured cost meant quality, but the data said otherwise. Has anyone else found that paying for an app actually made their stats worse?
Three dollars and it still kept losing signal at Zilker? That is wild to me. I would have bet money the paid app would crush the free one. Guess GPS does not care what you paid, huh.
