Watched a guy float a driveway in Tucson with the wrong slump and it set up in 20 minutes
I was helping a crew pour a 24x30 slab off Speedway last Tuesday and the driver added way too much water, pushing us to like a 7 inch slump. The finisher kept trying to work it like normal mix but the bleed water showed up fast and the surface started crusting before he could even get the edger out, which I've never seen happen that quick in 110 degree heat. How are you all handling slump on hot pours, do you cut it with ice or just tell the driver to keep it stiff and deal with it?
