I finally hit 100,000 square feet poured in a single year

Last Friday I finished a backyard patio job that pushed me over 100,000 square feet for 2024. I've been finishing concrete for 12 years and never kept track before, but my foreman mentioned it at the end of the day. Has anyone else hit a big milestone like that and realized it mattered more than you thought?

Hell yeah man, that's huge. I hit 85,000 last year and I still think about it. There's something about seeing that number on paper that makes all the early mornings and late nights feel worth it. My crew gave me crap for making a big deal out of it but I don't care, it's a real milestone in this trade. You bust your ass day after day and then suddenly you realize you've done more than a lot of guys will do in a decade. That patio job sounds like a good way to push past it too, backyard work always feels more personal than commercial slabs. Keep pouring and see if you can hit 120 next year.
