Family tech support call made me realize most problems are cable-related!

I got a call from my cousin saying his monitor wasn't working. He was already looking up prices for a replacement! I asked him to check the HDMI cable, and sure enough, it was just loose. It hit me that in our rush to fix things, we often overlook the basics. Now I always start with cable checks, and it's crazy how many issues that solves!

Seriously, cables are always the first thing to check. Make sure both ends are plugged in tight, because connectors get loose over time. That fix works way more than people expect.

People forget cables can wear out inside too. Constant bending near the plug can break the tiny wires, even if the connection feels tight. It's worth giving the cord a close look for any kinks or damage.
