Am I the only one who didn't know most commercial switches have a 10 year lifespan before they start dropping packets?
Was reading a Cisco field notice from 2019 and it said the average access switch in a small office gets replaced around year 10, not because it dies but because the error rate creeps up past what anyone notices until VoIP calls start sounding like a drive thru speaker, so how are you all deciding when to swap gear that still boots fine?
