Warning: I thought that $180 surface supply course in Galveston was a scam, turns out I was wrong
A guy named Dale kept pushing me to take his weekend hookah class down in Galveston for $180 and I figured it was just some dude trying to make a quick buck off new guys. Two months later my tender froze up on a job in 40 feet of murky water off a barge and the stuff he drilled into us about hose management and bailout drills is what got me back on deck calm instead of panicking. Still think his hat is dumb but I owe that man a beer. Anyone else take a cheap course from an old timer that ended up being worth way more than the price tag?
