Hull cleaning before and after, 18 months apart, same boat

Ran a hull scrub on a 42 foot workboat last month that I last cleaned in March of 2023. Back then it took me 3 hours with a standard brush setup and the growth was mostly slime with a few barnacles. This time it took almost 5 hours, and the bottom had thick mussel clusters near the keel and prop shaft. The only thing that changed was the owner started leaving it moored in the same slip instead of hauling out every 6 months. Is that on the mooring spot, or did I just get slower?
