Went back to my old comic shop last Saturday and it felt like a different world
I stopped by Hero's Haven in my hometown after not visiting for maybe 4 years. The whole front wall was just Funko pops and board games now, and the back issue bins were shoved into a tiny corner near the bathroom. The owner said they sold more to folks just browsing for gifts than actual comic readers these days. Does your local shop still feel like a place for collectors or has it changed too?

See it a bit different honestly. My shop still has longboxes everywhere and the owner can tell you what run of Moon Knight came out in 83 without looking it up. Sure theres a wall of pops near the register but thats just paying the bills. The real stuff is still in the back where the regulars hang out and dig through quarter bins on Wednesdays.

You ever been to a shop where the pops are literally blocking the short boxes? Buddy of mine went to one in Ohio, had to ask the guy to move a stack of Funko just to get at the X-Men issues.
