That fan expo panel line made me question my whole pull list

Last month at a small con in Sacramento, a writer on an indie panel said 'you're not a fan of comics, you're a fan of characters you already like.' Felt like a gut punch because I realized I've grabbed the same 5 Batman titles for 2 years and ignored 30 new books on the shelf. Anyone else catch themselves doing that and actually try something random this month?
