My fix for never-ending superhero movie arguments

My friends and I kept getting mad about how comic movies handle the stories. I cooled things down by talking up what we all enjoyed in the film and the comics. So, do you think fans should push for perfect accuracy or let movies do their own thing?

Totally get where you're coming from. I used to fight with my brother all the time because a movie changed a villain's backstory from the comics. We stopped having fun. Now, if the change works for the film and makes a good scene, I try to let it go. The book is always there on my shelf if I want the original story. Getting hung up on every little detail just ruins the night.

You mentioned "what we all enjoyed" but does that mean accuracy should always take a backseat to fun?

But clinging to every tiny detail just kills the vibe, you know? A good adaptation knows when to change things to make a better story for the screen. So no, accuracy doesn't always win if it means losing what makes the movie fun.
