My brother in law said superhero movies killed comic shops, and I can't stop thinking about it
We were at his place in Dayton last week and he said the movies are the only reason anyone under 30 knows who Iron Man is, so comic shops should be thanking Hollywood, not blaming it. I said that makes no sense because I see maybe two new faces a month at my local shop even when a big movie drops. Then he said the real killer is that people can read whole runs for free on a phone, which I couldn't really argue with. So which is it, are the movies helping bring people in or just training them to watch instead of read?
