Serious question, is buying used textbooks actually safe or did I just get lucky with a $14 psych book?
I needed Psych 101 for spring at Ohio State and the campus store wanted $180, so I grabbed a used copy off a marketplace listing for $14 from a senior who was moving out. It showed up with someone else's coffee stains and about 40 pages of highlighter, and I figured for that price I would just deal with it, but the access code still worked when I typed it in. Has anyone else bought used and gotten burned by a missing code or a book that was for a different edition?
