That week I accidentally broke a production database on a Tuesday
I was learning SQL and wanted to practice updating some test records in our staging environment. Turns out someone had pointed my local connection to the live production database by mistake. I ran an UPDATE without a WHERE clause and watched 15,000 customer records get set to the same name. My boss was on a call for 3 hours with IT trying to restore from backup. That was about 6 months ago and now I triple check every connection string before I type a single query. Has anyone else had a moment where you realized your dev setup was pointed at the wrong server?

Made that same mistake with a test newsletter once, @paige870, and accidentally emailed 2,000 customers a blank subject line.

That kind of mistake really makes you slow down and pay attention, doesn't it. Seems like every major screw-up in life comes down to one little detail we assumed was fine.
