Serious question, why do new guys skip the edge finder and just eyeball the zero?
Had a kid on the mill next to me last Tuesday pick up his zero by eye and his part came out .030 off on the first op. The edge finder takes 20 seconds and it's sitting right in the drawer, but somehow it got a rep as the slow way to do it. Anyone else seeing this with the newer hires or is it just my shop?
