Just realized a typo in my feed rate wrecked a good part
I was finishing a brass component and the surface came out all rough and torn. After tracing through the program, I spotted I had typed 100 instead of 10 for the feed in a critical pass. That one number messed up the whole piece and now I need to run it again.

My buddy did that with spindle speed once.

Heard some real horror stories about wrong machine settings wrecking projects. That spindle speed story from @nancy275 sounds like a classic example of that. Getting the setup wrong before a run can really mess things up bad.
