My neighbor's compost bin comment changed my whole routine
Last month my neighbor saw me tossing food scraps in the trash and said 'you know that's methane in a landfill, right?' I started a small worm bin in my garage in Portland and now I'm keeping a log of how much I divert each week. Has anyone else had a similar push from someone in their building or street?

A friend of mine got me into a bokashi bin after a similar comment, and honestly the push was all I needed to start. The key for me was keeping it in a spot I passed daily, so the habit stuck without extra effort. Your mileage may vary, but tracking the weight each week made it oddly satisfying, so hopefully that keeps you going too.
