Turned down a $900 power vac, then a job in Cleveland changed my mind
I always figured a shop vac and a good brush were plenty for any flue, so when the rep came by pushing a $900 power vac setup I laughed him right out. Then last month I took a job in Cleveland, an old brick two story with a flue packed so tight my rods would not even feed past four feet. I spent 40 minutes fighting it, the homeowner kept poking his head in asking if I was okay, and I ended up running to my truck for a drill powered whip just to finish. Been watching marketplace for a used vac since Tuesday. What do you all run for the stubborn ones, or is the drill whip enough for you?
