Tried a hybrid brush system after 8 years with a standard rod setup, never going back
I was up on a job in Lansing last Tuesday, third flue of the day, and my standard poly rods were just fighting me the whole way. Kinked up twice, took forever to get a good seal. Had a guy on site with one of those hybrid rod setups - carbon fiber base with a different coupler system. He let me borrow it for the last chimney. Cut my time by maybe 15 minutes and I barely had to wrestle with it. Makes me wonder why I stuck with the old rods for so long. Anyone else make a switch like that and notice a big difference?

The hybrid rods are a game changer for sure. I switched last year after fighting with poly rods on a tough flue in my own house. Took me maybe 10 minutes less and way less frustration.

Tried the Carbon Kleen setup last fall, cut my time by a solid 20 minutes on a tough flue.
