That $300 stainless liner kit turned into a nightmare in Bakersfield
Last month I bought a flex liner kit to reline a fireplace that was crumbling inside. The price felt steep but the guy at the supply place swore it was the good stuff. First burn after install and the draft pulled so weak that smoke rolled back into the living room. I paid a certified guy $150 to inspect and he found the liner was kinked in two spots from my rushed bending. Has anyone else had a liner kit fail from installation mistakes rather than the material itself?
