Shifting from brushes to rotary kits, here's what flipped me

I spent 6 years swearing by traditional brush rods on every flue in Portland, called rotary kits a gimmick. Then I got a call on a 3 story Victorian with a fireplace that had a 45 degree bend and a half inch of creosote glaze, the brush just bounced off it. The rotary head chewed through in 20 minutes flat. Anyone else make the switch and never look back?

Hated rotaries too, but that bend sold me completely.
