Customer feedback changed how I check flues in old houses

Last spring a homeowner in Albany pointed out I missed a crack in their clay liner because I was rushing with my mirror. Now I do a second pass with a flashlight on every pre-1970 job, and it's caught three issues in six months. Anyone else adjust their inspection routine after a complaint?

Funny how one little complaint can change your whole routine. Same thing happened to me with checking tire pressure after a guy pointed out I skipped his spare. We get set in our ways and it takes someone calling it out to wake us up.
